Rikyu Chasen (100prong)
Product Details
The Rikyu Chasen is named after the famous tea ceremony master Sen no Rikyu, and is made with dark bamboo, colored by charring the bamboo during creation.
To keep your matcha whisk in top condition, rinse it immediately after each use with cold or warm water, never with soap. Gently shake off the excess water, then allow it to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated spot. Before preparing matcha, soak the chasen in warm water for 1–2 minutes to soften the bristles and make them more flexible.
How to use
1. Whisk the Powder
Sift 2 tsp of hojicha powder into a bowl. Add 60 ml of hot water (75°C) not too hot - and whisk until smooth and slightly frothy.
If you are feeling wild, our favourite ratio is 2,5g of Matcha or Hojicha for 28g of water for a more thick and creamy paste, intense flavor
2. Steam Your Milk
Heat 2/3 cup of your favorite milk until creamy with microfoam.
3. Pour & Enjoy
Slowly pour the steamed milk over the whisked hojicha. Sweeten to taste if you want!
